POA’s Josh Olson, a hip disarticulate amputee, is representing Team USA in shooting at the Paralympic Games. Josh is the first ever active duty service member to be nominated to the Team. POA’s Zoe Gibbs had a great time at “The Adventure Amputee Camp” in the mountains of North Carolina last month! The Adventure Amputee Camp, Inc., is open to young people with amputations between the ages of 8 and 18. WFTV Orlando News was at our facility to interview Franklin Mejias, a young boy who contracted a near deadly bacterial infection which led to the amputation of his hands and both of his legs. POA is providing Franklin’s prosthetic limbs, and in a few months he hopes to be fit with prosthetic hands at a facility in Tampa.

First day walking on my new prosthesis with Genium knee and Endolite Blade foot. I felt like I was walking on air, and with energy I haven’t felt in years.
