We do our best to make the prosthetic fitting process, which can sometimes be stressful, as easy and pleasant as possible. Richard Browne won 2 Gold medals and 1 silver at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships held in Doha, Qatar, setting world records in two events. We are excited to be part of Richard’s team, and look forward to getting him ready for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio! Just received some great news and video from Franklin – he rode a bike for the first time since losing all four of his limbs to a near-deadly bacterial infection in 2011. “I hope you guys are okay. We had a great time with Jack and his family last week! It was especially fun when Steve Chamberland brought some of his other 50legs.org kiddos up to meet them. Another bonus was that William, who is about Jack’s age, was scheduled for an appt. that day, too. Party at POA! Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Tyler began walking on his new prosthetic legs *all by himself* last week. This little boy has had the cards stacked against him since day one, and its been a blessing to witness and be part of his journey and all the progress he has made. We can’t wait to see what he does in the future. Way to go, Tyler!
