POA’s Stan Patterson and two of our clients, Mike Fradera and Bill Mathews (both veterans), were featured in a special Veterans Day segment of the Golf Channel’s “Golf Central” program tonight. (Segment begins at the 17:50 minute mark.) #VeteransDay #NoBoundaries
Check out POA client Richard Browne’s inspiring story. (At about the 8:45 minute mark is a segment filmed at POA). Just received some great news and video from Franklin – he rode a bike for the first time since losing all four of his limbs to a near-deadly bacterial infection in 2011. “I hope you guys are okay. One more time I want to share with POA another goal of my life – yesterday was my first time riding (a) bike after my amputations!” After the skin grafts healed, Franklin
We had a great time with Jack and his family last week! It was especially fun when Steve Chamberland brought some of his other 50legs.org kiddos up to meet them. Another bonus was that William, who is about Jack’s age, was scheduled for an appt. that day, too. Party at POA! Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Tyler began walking on his new prosthetic legs *all by himself* last week. This little boy has had the cards stacked against him since day one, and its been a blessing to witness and be part of his journey and all the progress he has made. We can’t wait to see what he does in the future. Way to go, Tyler!
POA client Valerie Petta’s leg was amputated above the knee after a diagnosis of cancer just after she and her husband retired to Florida. Did she give up? Did she stop doing all the things she loved? No way! This lady is living her life to fullest! #NoBoundaries #NoExcuses
Congratulations to the happy couple!
POA and 50Legs.org friends and family joined together to cheer on little Zayden as he took his first steps on his finished prosthesis. He was so happy to see his new “toes,” and proud of his Thomas the Train prosthetic leg! This 3-year-old dynamo is going to be up and running in no time!
