Message From Micaela, 3-year-old Amputee:  Choose To Dance!

When POA client Micaela returned to Peru after being fit with her new prosthesis, her mom enrolled her in a ballet dance class. Never once did she hesitate to participate in all the activities the other kids did.  Micaela proudly displayed her  *Hello Kitty* design prosthetic leg when she danced in her first ballet recital!  Bravo, sweet girl!   #choosetodance #noboundaries #POAproud

Chris has Climbed Back, Literally, To An Active Life After Amputation  

Received following message and photo from POA client and BK amputee, Chris Morgan.  Way to go, Chris!  “Celebrating my first Mother’s Day in 2-1/2 years not hopping, limping or crutching around. I could actually play with my kids and not feel like a ‘crabby mom.’  My daughter Jade actually commented this weekend,  ‘I love our family–we’re adventurous!’  {{grin}} Finally getting our lives back!
